UP Home Promotes Hallett as the Director of Nursing

Washington, IA (June 3, 2019) – Mindy Hallett was promoted to the Director of Nursing at the United Presbyterian Home on June 3, 2019. Mindy has worked in long term care for most of her nursing career, starting as a CNA while she completed her Associate’s Degree.

“I really enjoy working in long term care because I enjoy working with this population,” said Hallett, who has been working in long term care for approximately 20 years. “I think we can learn so much from the residents about life, the residents have such amazing stories and knowledge to share with anyone willing to listen.”

Hallett graduated from Upper Iowa University in October 2017 with her Bachelors Degree of Science in Nursing (BSN). Prior to working as a Nurse at the UP Home, Hallett was the Director of Nursing at Hospice of Washington County.

“I love the atmosphere of the UP Home.  Everyone has been so nice and has really helped me transition from a nurse working on the floor to my new position as Director of Nursing.  The staff was very supportive of me when I applied for the position and I am excited to lead this amazing team of caregivers for many years to come,” said Hallett.
