Washington, IA (May 22, 2017) – The United Presbyterian Home is excited to announce that the construction on campus is going well and is currently ahead of schedule for the Expansion of Quality First Services project.
“The project is progressing well. We were very fortunate to have had a nice winter that allowed for us to enclose the lower level and work during the cold weeks,” said Jordan Hutcheson a Field Engineer for Carl A Nelson. “Everyone is working hard to foresee obstacles and working together to find resolutions before they become a problem. “
The new addition on to the south hall of the current Health Center will be over 20,000 square feet and cost an estimated $6.2 Million Dollars. The first floor of the addition will house 17 private rooms and the lower level will have first-class wellness, fitness and therapy facilities which will include a warm water therapy pool and an indoor walking track.
On the ground floor of the new addition they are currently working on painting and tiling the locker rooms and the pool area. The upper level is close behind. With all of the showers installed in the rooms they are currently working on hanging the drywall, laying stone on the fireplace and should be starting to paint in a few weeks.
“The project could not be going any better,” said CEO Mike Moore. “I am very satisfied with the construction managers’ control of the project and the professionalism demonstrated during every phase of the construction process.”
