The Shueyville Church’s youth group stayed local this year to do good in Iowa communities close to home. The church sent 27 youth and 7 adults on a mission trip to Washington, staying at Crooked Creek Christian Camp. This group divided into smaller groups throughout the week, with one group focusing their time on UPH campus needs.
Their efforts on campus were extensive and impactful. During their time at UPH, the group tended to the garden and corn patch, cleaned windows across the campus, revitalized the Memory Garden to restore its beauty, removed weeds from flower gardens, and organized the attic and storage room. Additionally, they generously spent time with Health Center residents, offering wheelchair rides and engaging in heartfelt conversations. Their commitment during the summer months has made a significant difference in enhancing the UP Home, for which we are deeply grateful!
The Shueyville Church is located 50 miles north of the UP Home in Swisher, Iowa, led by Pastor Brody Tubaugh.
